To save his race from extinction, the leader of the Goblins is ordered to kidnap and get a child by a human. For a proud Goblin warrior who remembers the horror mankind inflicted on his people, death would be preferable to lying with a woman from the outside world.
Come along with me as I tell the fourth Tale of the Order, Goblin Moon. Meet Tearach Bruce, the leader of the Goblin race. And meet Kathy Parker, the former paramedic he wants so desperately to hate. Is there any way possible for a man of myth to live with a woman from the outside world?
The leader of the Goblins is at his wit's end. Unless someone comes up with a solution, his entire race will die out in a few decades. The protector of all the magical creatures has a solution, however. She commands the Goblin leader to mate with a human...but how can he when it was humans who caused the near extinction of their kind to begin with.
This title is in ebook format, but it coming to print in Spring 2008.
"I would rather die a thousand times than lie with a woman whose race all but destroyed mine." - Leader of the Goblins, Tearch Bruce.
There were only forty-six of his kind left. Tearach Bruce paced the floor of his cottage and ran a shaking hand through his hair. For eight years, he’d racked his brain for a way out of this catastrophic dilemma. As leader of the Goblin faction, it fell to him to find a way to save his people. But how? It had been suggested that mating outside their own race, with other magical creatures of the Order, might be the answer. Not only had it proven futile, but it had resulted in tragedy. Within the last month, another Goblin woman died while attempting to give birth. And three more Goblin children had been stillborn. For eight years, the same sad tale repeated itself over and over. Nothing anyone tried had made the slightest difference. Some of the babies had lived the length of a day, but those instances had been rare.
He couldn’t order his people to quit mating or take precautions to keep from bearing children. Swearing off women all together because of the infant mortality rate, he no longer took the sacred herbs preventing pregnancies himself. Some of his people believed one child might survive. And if that one babe lived, so might others. But the deaths were taking a toll on their morale. He might very well be the last leader of a race which was thousands of years old.

Romance Reviews Today
The fourth book in Candace Sams' Tales of the Order, Goblin Moon, is an imaginative novel filled with unusual and fascinating characters.
With smooth plotting and a rapid pace, GOBLIN MOON captures the reader's attention from the first page. Packed with emotion and moments of danger and humor, GOBLIN MOON delivers a heartwarming love story, as well as a lesson in learning not to judge an entire group of people by the actions of a few. Even though GOBLIN MOON is the fourth book in the series, it stands well on its own; however, I know I plan to get the first three and add them to my reading list. I recommend you add GOBLIN MOON to yours. - Terrie Figueroa for Romance Reviews Today
Fallen Angel Reviews
Goblin Moon is a fluid, emotional addition to the Tales of the Order series. Candace Sams continues to inspire with the richness of the world within worlds she has created. Her writing is eloquent, imaginative, and a delight for this reader to experience. Her words easily bring to life the landscape and community within the Order, allowing the readers to visualize the variety and complexity of life these magical beings live. The plot is so tightly written that all the details seamlessly flow together to weave the beauty that is Tearach and Kathy's story. The obstacles these two must overcome are touching while at the same time their banter and frank honesty will endear them to readers. The depth of this story allows it to be read alone, but trust me when I say this is one series you don't want to miss out on. Ms. Sams just keeps getting better and better and I for one can't wait to see what she has coming next. - Amanda for Fallen Angel Reviews
Terrific Fantasy , a new author for me and I hope the Sorceress seeks me out
The fourth Tale, GOBLIN MOON, is a terrific fantasy starring two star-crossed individuals who clash on everything as each perceives, ponders, and deduces from the same information different results and outcomes than the other yet fall in love. The comparative cultural anthropological disparities between humans and goblins seem so genuine that readers will believe in the existence of magical creatures at least when entering the charming Sams' universe. Newcomers can start here as this novel stands alone, but well written references to the previous books will send the audience seeking them too as GOBLIN MOON is a wonderful tale. - Harriet Klausner, #1 Amazon.com reviewer
I have to say that Goblin Moon was a huge surprise for me. I love fantasy and paranormal romances but I put off reading Goblin Moon because I wasn't sure I was going to like it. I was happily surprised when I found that I could not put it down. Tearach is a hero who you feel for even when you want to shake him. Kathy is just the sort of heroine that I love to read. Spunky and able to take care of herself. Together Tearach and Kathy simmer with emotion and heat. Candace Sams skillfully drew me into the world of the Druids, Goblins, and Fairies. Once I realized that Goblin Moon was the fourth book in the Tales of the Order series, I couldn't download the other books quickly enough. Goblin Moon delivers as a sexy fantasy romance. - Melissa Nix for Enchanted in Romance, www.enchanted in romance.net
I've read all 4 books in the "Tales of the Order" and each one can stand alone, but it is nice to meet up with old friends. I eagerly await The Craftsman. Thanks Candace Sams. K. Davis, Athens, Georgia
