Andrea Lynn Steele grew up in an evangelical environment. In this book, she shares her memories of her youth, when she pressured other children to yield to Christianity. Her peers were confused, and families were torn apart by her actions. Yet, this behavior was encouraged by her church. Now approaching thirty, with a husband and three children of her own, she has very different perspectives about people imposing their beliefs on others. When her daughter was chastised by one of her friends for not attending church, she was prompted to write of her own experiences and her current perspectives. Most people do not realize how serious religious peer pressure can be--not only in childhood, but well into adulthood. Parents who have had to deal with their children being discriminated against for their beliefs, (or lack thereof) will find this book encouraging.
