A laid back poet's impressions of life in Arizona.
Excerpts from Date Palms and Arizona Skies
This book is about my spiritual and profound discoveries of life in Arizona. Where I sometimes take a take in cheek look at life's situations.
This book was written during many personal crises that occurred during this time frame.
The first being my brain surgery and my attempt to prove to myself that I could still write wonderful poetry. This is reflected in my poem "Nightime wins over Darkness"
To my appalling discovery that people were ignoring genocide in Darfur Africa which is reflected in my poem "Ethnic Cleansing" which has a truly shocking piece of art work attached.
Next I had to deal with my husband's sudden and protracted illness. He lay in a coma for seven weeks and almost died on numerous occasions. This is reflected in my poems "Quintessential Hope" and "Idolatry".
Last but not least are my impressions of Arizona.
