Lance McCoy has always hated ranching. He has been running from it for years. Son of an alcoholic father, he left home at the age of sixteen, to make a better life for himself. Now his father is dead and his mother is about to lose everything she owns. He returns to Rock Creek, intending to put his mother's affairs in order. Then he will be done with this one-horse town forever. His mother has different ideas, though.
Jenny Sterling was in love with Lance as a young girl. She was heartbroken when he left home without so much as a good-bye. Now he is back and working for her father. Though she is forced to share his company on a daily basis, she is determined not to fall for him again. Despite long kept secrets, and the interference of a woman gone mad, they quickly learn that love is a force that is too powerful to be reckoned with.

| Once and Again is an appealing story with strong characters. The Old West as it used to be is a prominent feature of this story, but it is with the well developed characters that Ms. Dalton shines. I really enjoyed this book. Read a full review on amazon.com or barnes and noble.com. It will appear in the January 2003 edition of Midwest Book Review. |

| As I have told Carla on our UAA site, I have never been a fan of westerns. However, from what I have had the unmitigated priviledge thus far of reading, this book will certainly (at least temporarily), change my attitude. This work has a potential that cannot be measured. I highly recommend it for all. |
