Terri's Heart

Where do I Begin? is a book about weight loss and ultimate self-acceptance no matter your body size. It can also be used to love oneself after conquering whatever demons one might have had.

Excerpt from Where do I Begin?

Before you start your regimen of eating right and exercising, I urge you to dig deep inside yourself. Find the underlying reason why you began your downhill slide into the pit you are in now. We need to climb up and out and join the other beautiful people, because we belong with them. You may be the most beautiful among us. I know it is hard to believe that about you right now, but I promise, we will find that place of being comfortable in our own skin. We will do it together. I will help you all the way.
"The Bible says (Hebrews 11:1 NIV) that faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. So when I say I have faith that you can do this, this is exactly what I mean. I am sure I hope you achieve your weight loss, and I am certain you will. How’s that for believing?"

Professional Reviews

In this book, Terri manages to talk about a very deep subject that she has come to terms with. Terri touches on how it has felt to be in a world though of as 'thin' when you are a big person. She talks about the struggles of low self-esteem, lack of feeling loved, and happiness. She also offers her own personal advice to help those who are struggling with this weighty issue. I would recommend this book to anyone who is going through the trials and tribulations of being overweight and wants a personal thought on how to overcome this problem. For those who are not overweight, they should read this book. It would help them to understand what we as overweight people live through each and every day of our lives. Robin Gorley, Author, "A Lifetime of Words" and "A Lifetime of Words-Spirit for the Soul"
