9. Walk to visit a nearby friend- There is this talk of being tired after work or school, so one jumps into the car again for a visit of less than fifteen minutes walk, some people even excuse that there would rainfall. Even when it’s only a drizzle! Below are the benefits of walking.
•Lowers your blood sugar, blood pressure and your cholesterol
•Increases your circulation
•Builds stronger bones
•Relieves stress and boost your memory
•Help eliminate unwanted inches and pounds
•Help your body produce it’s own ‘feel good’ chemical called endorphins.
Walking is not only therapeutic, it equally reduces the wear and tear of your vehicle plus the fuel cost.
10. Confirm the hospital bill- Some people receive discretionary bills from hospitals. This is done by the idea of charging patients according to the social or financial status. Two friends once visited a hospital; their children had fallen ill at the same time, they were diagnosed to suffer similar ailments. Days after their discharge, one of the friends visited the other. In the course of their conversation, the one of a higher status complained of the high cost of the hospital. It was then that his friend told him of how he paid much less. It dawned on him that he had been ripped off.
Always discuss the cost of treatment as soon as you can do so, this would enable you know the degree of financial exposure. At other times, charges are made on bills for drugs not dispensed or treatment never carried out. Take time to scrutinise items on the bill given to you.
