I was given up for adotption. I found my birth mother when I was 40 years old.  I share how I live with a terminal disease called Lupus (SLE) and Fibromyalgia. I was daignosed in 2004. I share how I received a blessing of sobriety and how my life has changed. How I got out of a living hell on earth that I made myself. I share how I lived through child abuse, sexual, mental and domestic abuse. I share my deep feelings of why I had to let go of my son. With God we can do anything. I want to share with you that no matter where we came from what we did, what we have, we can have a good life. No matter what life brings us we have the strength from inside of us to get through any thing. With the Spirit we can get through anything in life. I have rated my book Pg 13 because some of the things I share in this book can be triggering to people who have been abused. So for some children it may not be suitable for. One Lady’s Journey Within.

By Angela Contreras is the most complete and honest story I have ever read in my years on the internet sharing with others who have over come such odds in their life. Her story is one that anyone can relate with who has lived a childhood where love and trust were given, paid with a high price.

Angela not only takes you on the journey to her beginnings as she shares her life with a mother who seemed to have adopted her for all the wrong reasons, then who betrayed her love by giving her innocence away to her own lover at an age that is unthinkable. Then to betray her again in her adulthood as this same mother took away her purpose in life. Her own child.

Follow Angela on her journey through the abuse that continued into her adulthood and the addictions that followed always trying to stop the pain of the past and the present. How like manly others she slipped into that dark place where there seems no way out.

Read as she finally hears the voices that change her life forever as she tells you in her own words all the marvelous things she has learned about real love, real people, and real life. The lessons she has learned and the hope that just bubbles from her pages has awakened many good feelings in myself.

Angela’s story is another miracle in this life as with those of millions of people who have recovered from their childhood and their life. I think one of my favorite chapters you will find a sentence that says “I learned I was not evil” A powerful thing to come to know.

I do believe that Angela has touched on almost every teaching and lesson I have heard and learned in my own life. When I said a complete story I meant it. She also says them in her own words along with many saying from the rooms of some of the best twelve steps to life I know.

I hope you enjoy this book and more so I hope that you will help get it into the hands of some person who you think could use the knowing that they will find inside. Both young and old will surely come away empowered.
