Excerpt from Chapter 5 Body in the Marsh: When they reached the mound, Casey took his binoculars out of his bag and scanned the horizon. From there they had a clear view from the mouth of the river, the sandbar where they had lunch and along the tidal stream to where the stream flowed under Salt Marsh Bridge.
"We can see everything from here," said Casey. "I don't see any boats at the mouth of the river."
"Can I take a look?"
Lexie looked back toward the harbor where the stream was gaining momentum with the incoming tide.
"Look, over there," said Lexie. She handed the binoculars to Casey.
"What did you see?"
"Look along the edge of the stream. There's a bunch of yellow stuff."
"Uh, oh. I think we found him or maybe her. That's a yellow slicker."
