This addictive read begins in the heart of the Louisiana swampland, where young and unhappy Jessie Taylor is forced to spend her miserable and unfulfilled days. As a victim of her environment and life in general, Jessie dreams of escaping and starting anew, somewhere beyond the bayou and backwoods of the Deep South. She designs a plan that will take her to Hollywood, away from her life of poverty and shame, and ultimately to fame and fortune. As she travels the road from innocence to experience she encounters a bevy of colorful characters; each experience molding her into the woman she will become, but alas, not before a roller coaster ride of highs and lows ensues where everyone gets their just desserts.  Peppered with lust, betrayal, and murder, this gritty, often sardonic tale, delivers intense heat from the steamy Louisiana bayou to the sunny shores of Malibu Beach. Will true love and family values finally triumph in the unlikely world of Tinsel Town?  Read and find out.

Excerpt

He watched her face contort through a series of emotions, beginning with intense concentration, followed by enlightenment, and finally settling on horrified disgust. "No! Oh no! Please! Christ no!" she wailed as the tears began to flow.

Richard swallowed hard, feeling powerless to help her as she struggled with her revelation. Instantly he knew there was something about her past that she'd yet to tell him, and the more he watched her agonize over it, the more he was unsure he wanted to know.
