The main plot of this story develops in Toronto. Other elaborate settings are sprinkled into this saga. Vancouver, Alaska and New Zealand are a few of these magnificent backdrops.
Three major characters dominate the shadows in the underbelly of this novel.
Emma is a prostitute who plies her trade on the mean streets of Toronto. She's an alcoholic and a heroin addict. This young woman's soul is wrecked and ravaged. She faces a myriad of challenges in this tale. This tormented human being is placed in the untenable position of having to make a traumatic decision that will affect her forever! With incredible difficulty, she does her best to survive each obstacle and carry on.
Jimmy is a juvenile delinquent. His childhood dictated that some time ago. It is not in the realm of possibilities that he could reasonably expect any other kind of existence.
Frank is a mechanic who is the proprietor of his own garage. He is a wonderful, caring man, whose heart has been shattered.
These character's lives intertwine with each other through a complex and compelling series of dramatic events.
Every now and again, wondrous miracles occur when tragedy is ever present.

Excerpt

The people at the soup kitchen were down on their luck for one reason or another. Some of them had been unemployed for quite some time and lost everything! Most of them were homeless, with no place to go. None of them felt good about their lives. Alcoholics and drug users were at the soup kitchen in abundance. People who suffered from schizophrenia talked aimlessly to themselves, wondering where the voices were coming from this time.
Jimmy witnessed small children with their mothers, huddled together, trying to get some nourishment into their bodies. He felt empathetic toward these children and wondered why the world 'sucked' the way it did!

A recommended read
A twisting, turning plot through the dark places humanity can take you that in the end affirms that hope and love breed dignity no matter where an individual comes from or how life treats them. Emma is a compelling heroine. A recommended read.

Reader Reviews for "Triangular Reflections"

Reviewed by Omer 2/12/2002
Triangular Reflections is a beautiful and wonderfully written novel. Not only was it written out of love, but it is very inspirational. I rarely read novels of fiction. I found myself immersed in this book and read it in two days. The main characters that have been developed in this story are rich. Each of them has depth. I recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys a dynamic plot.

This mainstream inspirational novel is a wonderful read that will evoke mixed emotions in its reader. The three main characters have many difficult challenges to overcome. With strong convictions and perseverance, these characters attempt to save themselves. If you're interested in reading a novel that will brighten your day, this is the book for you. It's twists and turns will keep you guessing. Just when I thought I figured it out, off in a new direction it went. I enjoyed this book very much! A recommended read.

I have to agree with Kathy, the excerpt captured
my interest, and like her, i wish that there
was an available chapter to read. Still, it
sounds like a compelling drama.

A remarkable piece of creative fiction.
You mention "...why the world sucked the way it did!"
This is also my major concern when I write and I write nonfiction.
I wish you great success.
