"As I drove over the hill I felt the wheels leave the surface of the road and I heard a clank as the car remade contact with the tarmac. I decided to slow down and clicked on the windscreen wipers, adrenaline surging through me like a river about to burst its banks. I breathed in and my chest tingled. I sighed and slowed the car down to sixty miles an hour, I even turned on the headlamps. Immediately, I saw a figure huddled at the side of the road. I slowed, slowed, and stopped."
