Un buen día en el taller de metales de la esquina nació Timoteo Tinaco. Este tinaquito era un cilindro corrugado de color gris con un brillo radiante. Colocado en la parte superior llevaba dos asas muy resistentes con una tapa elegante y contemporánea.
Tim, con su cuerpecito metálico erguido, orgullosamente se dejó llevar por la correa transportadora junto con los demás tinacos.
—Tienen una misión importante —les dijo el capataz del taller—. ˇVan a mantener la ciudad limpia!
Todos los basureros aclamaron y sacudieron sus tapas.
Timothy Trashcan was born in the metal shop one bright morning. He was a shiny, gray, corrugated cylinder with two sturdy handles at the top, and he sported a fashionable lid to match.
Tim stood proudly with all the other cans as they rode the conveyor belt through the shop door.
“You have an important mission,” the shop foreman informed them. “You will keep the city clean!”
All the cans cheered and rattled their lids.
