I found that only with drinking fresh blood
could my body briefly strengthen and warm.
Through veins it coursed like a mighty flood
power passed through me like a perfect storm.
I felt no pain at my unspeakable dark deed
he had received full repayment he deserved.
I watched his puncture wounds slowly bleed
feeling not in the lest remorseful or disturbed.
I wiped my mouth on the sleeve of his coat
then back to the banquet I quickly returned
later his wife shrieked, clutching her throat
