Color My World

About 'Color My World'

Color My World is an amazing interactive journey for children of all ages. Debbie Mancini-Wilson begins the excursion immediately by inviting the reader to finish writing the opening poem and then draw a picture (in the space provided) to further express themselves. The author’s imagination continues to lead the reader through an intriguing group of feel-good poems designed to make children comfortable in their own skin. The book walks through a variety of emotions and situations that encourage the reader to see things from perspectives they might not have thought of before, while subtly teaching them to journal their own thoughts … right there in the book, in the spaces provided -- and those spaces will not be blank for long! The black and white illustrations by Jackie Cleary add depth to the book, while maintaining an innocent simplicity. Color My World, and its Origami Poetry Writer at the end of the book will bring out the creativity inside each child. And, if you are fortunate enough to attend one of Debbie's workshops, you will see for yourself just how Debbie unwraps kids' minds to discover that beautiful gift of creativity!

Professional Reviews

~ Sandy Grason, Int’l Speaker, best-selling author and Founder of Journalution: Journaling to Awaken Your Inner Voice, Heal Your Life and Manifest Your Dreams
Debbie Mancini-Wilson has created an interactive children’s book that lures the reader in from the first page, beckoning creativity from within, and it does not stop even after the last page has been turned. The slyly-left unfinished poems encourage the reader to write what is in their hearts and minds where the poem left off. Spaces are even provided for the reader to draw what is in their mind’s eye. Some of the poems which the author has completed are designed to get the reader thinking about something or someone important, and space is provided for their own story, poem, or thoughts. The Origami Poetry Writer at the end of the book keeps the creative juices flowing long after the book has been closed. There is not another book like this masterpiece; Color My World fills a niche that makes one wonder why it wasn’t thought of sooner.

~Liz Pabon, author of The MavHERick Mind
An interactive book that unleashes a child’s creative power enabling them to explore the coupling of heart and mind ... brilliant -- especially the Origami Poetry Writer. This unique work of art will keep kids engaged long after the final page has been turned. Debbie has really hit one out of the park with Color My World!

~Dr. Nancy Mramor, Therapist; Author of Spiritual Fitness
Color My World is a creative, interactive and yes, colorful book that nurtures and stimulates children into expressing themselves creatively. Debbie Mancini-Wilson's first book provides something that every child can identify with and remember feeling or thinking in the poems and the activities that follow. Keeping them engaged in the ideas, the book is a creative well written work of poetry, artwork and activities, by a creative dynamic author.

I LOVE YOUR BOOK!!!!! I am most intrigued by the simplicity of the book and the no frills, yet it very subtley guides the reader (children) to think for themselves and the boundaries are loosely defined which I am a fan of this form of teaching. The reader is prompted to be creative or just honest and open (for us less creative folks). I would highly recommend it and in fact going to have my child's librairian review the book. Fantastic Job, which is exactly what I expected. I am priveleged and honored to have received a book for my daughter. We will treasure it.

How I wish there was a book like this when my children were young. With my younger son being so ill it would have been a great way for him to express his fears and for my older son who spent so much time having others take care of him while we were at the hospital, a great way to express his loneliness and confusion. I can't say enough about it and have already called several friends to tell them to watch for it - it's a MUST buy for every grandchild for Christmas or birthday or even Happy Nothing's Day. Truly a book like this is LONG overdue and that you realized what a need there is for children to be able to express themselves no matter what their feelings speaks to the heart of the author. Applause my friend! It is a book that is genuinely inspired.

Dear Marsha,
I am pleased that a professional in the area of publishing showed an interest in my topic and my book, and decided to look me up. I indeed, founded and funded the start up of Harmony Publications in order to self-publish my first solo book (no secrets there!); therefore, Harmony Publications does, in fact, ‘exist.’ I just LOVE America! And, although self-publishing is (in and of itself) a viable means of being published, I have also been published in other areas … by other people/publishers, thus making me a published author. I am also a child mentor, activist and fundraiser (all documented) as well as a parent, and am deeply hurt that you would say that I am not without even knowing me or the foundations and children I have worked with. I cannot understand how you would judge me and make false claims with no knowledge of me, let alone make a claim that I am unprofessional and fraudulent. If you were sure that I had creative ideas and knew, based on your experience, how to market them using the right roads, I would have appreciated your professional suggestions and guidance, instead. And, in an attempt to determine who this person was who was criticizing me, I searched the internet, and I am sorry to say that I could not find you or any pertinent information about you on the internet. If you truly have professional guidance and suggestions to offer, please also supply me with more detailed information about you and your professional background, and I would be honored to consider such.

I did some research on this author and on the publishing company, Harmony Publications and found some disturbing information. As a literary professional, I am very familiar with most of the publishing companies in the US, particularly in this geographical area. I have worked with and had professional affiliations with many of them and am part of a large networking group. I was intrigued by the name Harmony Publications because I had not ever heard of it. The reason being that it does not exist! Harmony Publications is a company Debbie Mancini-Wilson founded and funded in order to get her book published. This, Mrs. Wilson does not make you a published author, but a fraud. In addition, the claims that she is a child mentor, fundraiser and activist are also falsified and embellished. As a parent, I would think before I purchased a book for my children that is written by an individual who does not appear to have the most honest intentions.
I am sure that Mrs. Wilson has some very creative ideas that would have proven marketable to her had she taken the proper road.

Ce livre est un exemple selon lequel la communauté se fourvoie dans son apperception du réel, tandis qu’un adolescent s’engage dans le chemin de la vérité. En somme, cet adolescent..
