When civilization crumbles the only hope for humanity is the one group no one counted on. The Bubbas. Protected from the biological plague by years of bad barbeque sauce, good old boys and gals are the only ones left to carry on against the hordes of yuppie zombies and crazed killers. God save us all.

| While the overall book is okay, I was excited to read Rob Gates story, as I thought, since he was the one advertising the book, it would be something to be proud of. It is not, as a matter of fact, his story is probably the worst written. It offers little detail in character, the plot is so-so thought out. I know this is suppose to be a humorous look at the end of the world with humorous characters, but a thin plot doesn't make up for bad writing, and bad writing is the majority of this book, Mr. Gate's story in particular. I ask Mr. Yates to keep trying though, there are many creative writing courses that could help tone and give you some direction. I would also like to make a quick point about the publisher of this book, this book is way overpriced for this poor quality workmanship. I looked into Yard Dog press and found that they are only one step up from a vanity press. Their actual motto is "if the big, traditional publishers don't like your work, it's probably for us." That in itself tells what kind of work this is. |
