This book is probably the first of its kind in the sense that it's both poetry and horror fiction, but with a purpose; written to shed light into the darker reaches of the human experience. The author puts into beautiful yet terrifying free verse poetry all of the horror of the past several decades, all for the fear delight and enlightenment of the reader. A must read for any lover of the macabre, or poetry.

Reflection of a Dark Soul
“Reflection of a Dark Soul” is a book of horror poetry that will shock, thrill, and delight any lover of the macabre. In it I hit on many subjects that don't seem to be getting a lot of attention in the media. Like the rise of drug addiction, slavery, genocide, abortion, homelessness. But I also get back to the basics and look at things like greed, lust, and good old fashion murder, and suicide. Pulling it all together to give the world a chance to really take a long look into the mirror and see what we've done and are doing to ourselves as a whole.
However; I do all of this in such away as to make it beautiful, easy to read (for those that don't like to), and terrifyingly dark and twisted. If you like music from the alternative rock, heavy metal genre of music, dark or gothic poetry, horror fiction, or are just concerned with the direction humanity is heading then this is a must read.
In the End
Devastation fills the land
Rivers of blood
Fountains of death flood the world
Ride high on the four winds
For my pleasures
Children crying for their dead parents
Blood runs thick in the streets
Debased and alone wandering through the world
There’s nothing left for you here
Find some place to hide
Build a wall around your heart
And fortify your soul
Before you venture out alone
Seduction your only weapon
Sex a means of survival
Drugs the key to sanity
Believe the lies you’re fed
The truth’s too hard to swallow
Sorrow the word of the day
Violence and hate the filthy maggots of society
Eating away at everything in its path
Demons within are ready to spread their leathery wings
Pushing us further into nothingness
Granting only our darkest fantasies
Feeding on the things we hate most about ourselves
Leaving nothing of us behind
The cattle led to the chopping block
Sold for next to nothing
As the streets run with the blood of the increscent
And all is laid to waste forevermore
In the end
Is it worth it
This path to hell
Twisted-ly Dark and Nightmarish
Twisted-ly Dark and Nightmarish
Reflections of a Dark Soul delves deep into the dark side of the human experience, taking on such topics as genocide, slavery, religious, social, and cultural hatred. The author brings to bear a look into the mirror for humanity to see the path we’ve headed down, while bring forth a nightmarish landscape that only the most twisted of horror writers could come up with, in what could be a new trend for writers of both the horror and poetry genres. Not since Dante, and Milton have I seen terror of this caliber from a poet a must read for any fan of the macabre.
