His touch ignited a hunger and fanned the flames that threatened to consume them both.
But hell hath no fury like a woman scorned...

Virgin’s blood smelled and tasted sweeter than any other. For years, Olympia had ensured nothing else quenched his thirst, addicting him to the lifeblood of innocents. His fangs shot out as he imagined Diana’s blood sliding down his throat like warm honey. So enticing, so damned addictive.
Too weakened by Damien’s attack to deal with a virgin, he moved to leave, but Diana and her friends chose that moment to run into the lake. Entranced, he watched Diana dive under then thrust her perfect bottom above the black water. He wished he could transform himself into water, rise up and lap at her pert nipples, flow between her legs and slip deep into her heat.
Diana gasped and glanced in his direction.
Then again, maybe his mother was right. How could Diana, a mere human, sense his presence? Why did he, one who had yet to relinquish his sexual dominance to even the strongest female of his kind, feel bewitched by this beauty?
She stepped onto the shore. Rivulets of water trailed down her body, zigzagging to the very spots his fevered mind had become obsessed with. Her nipples pebbled, tempting him to taste. She shivered then vigorously rubbed her hands up and down her arms.
Before he realized what he was doing, he warmed the thin veil of air surrounding her. She stilled, took a step towards him, then shrank back into the warm cocoon he’d created. Laughter tickled his throat when she leaned her head forward and stuck her crooked little nose into the cool air then scrunched it up. His laughter died, his eyes focused on her teeth as she sucked in her lower lip and gnawed on it.
Passion and a bloodlust stronger than any he’d ever experienced seized him. White-hot pain streaked through his veins and brought him to his knees. Diana’s virginity shimmered around her like an aura, a pure white glow that beckoned and promised untold delights. Thrust into the past where control succumbed to hunger, he felt the chains that had imprisoned his addiction all these years snap, one by one. Fearing the last would soon give, he threw his head back and roared in denial.
Diana and her friends screamed. Lucian watched in shock when, instead of taking cover behind a distant boulder like her friends, Diana crept up to the hemlock he hid behind. Instinct and years surviving amidst humans brought him back under control.
Muscles smoothly banding up her calves and thighs flexed inches from his face. Before she peered directly at him, he altered her perception so that no matter how intently she searched where he hid, she would only see a shadow. He decided to probe her mind for any knowledge of his stepbrother’s death and looked into her eyes.
Spellbound, Lucian wondered if he just discovered Frank Nostrum’s weapon. Huge orbs of verdant green splashed with gold like the mountains when the first rays of a new day kissed the peaks of the trees held his gaze. Dawn dwelt in Diana Nostrum’s eyes, and its beauty mocked the photos and paintings covering the walls in his house.
Dawn. So deadly. So exquisitely beautiful. He couldn’t tear his eyes away.
“It sounds like it’s hurt,” Diana called over her shoulder to her friends.
“Di, get away!” Terry yelled.
Diana spun around, unwittingly planting the soft white globes of her buttocks just above his head. The need to touch her slammed into him. Too many years, too many nights spent in the arms of beautiful vamps had left him confident that he could handle the effects of any female. Fangs, nails, everything grew in defiance of his will.
“Thanks a lot, Terry. Just leave me, here.” She planted her hands on her hips.
Terry peeked over the top of the rock. “And let some wild dog sink his teeth into my tits?
They cost me a fortune. Di, get the hell away from it. It could have rabies or something.”
He tried to growl, but his clenched teeth and throat strangled the sound.
“It sounds more like it’s dying,” Diana muttered.
And when the sun set on that last endless day, only chains would deter her from running into the night in search of the only blood that could soothe the searing pain engulfing her body, from killing any human or vampire in her way as she drank their blood in a never-ending compulsion to appease her hunger for his blood.
Of course, he would never answer those calls.
His mother in her infinite ability to find someone’s Achilles heel had chosen this punishment for the vampire hunter. Nothing else could wound Frank Nostrum as much as witnessing his only child’s descent into madness. No torture could match that which he would heap upon himself when he realized she suffered in his place.
Romance Junkies - 5
For many years, Frank Nostrum has been wreaking havoc upon the nocturnal inhabitants of Mina’s Cove. But now, the vampire hunter has taken one life too many. In their fear, the vampires call upon their champion, Lucian. Who also happens to be the stepbrother to Frank’s latest victim. They demand that Frank must suffer as they have .He too must loose a precious loved one. Suddenly Lucian is thrown into the fray - not as a protector, but as a killer. His task is simple: to hunt Diana, daughter to the vampires’ most feared enemy.
Diana knows the opinion most of the townspeople have about her father. Their home may have a strong odor of garlic about it and Frank may always insist on meeting her new boyfriends in daylight, but Diana has never truly believed that he actually hunts vampires. Besides, she is far too busy looking out for Mr. Right. Paying the strictest attention to her grandma’s advice, Diana is saving herself for her soul mate. Up until recently, Diana has always believed she could keep tight hold on her virginity, but inexplicable forces are leading her to believe that this task is suddenly becoming very, very difficult.
I have to admit that HUNTING DIANA is the best vampire story that I have read. Even before I had reached the end of the first page, I was totally gripped. The initial chapters set the scene with haunting descriptions of vampires and clear explanations of their hierarchy and culture. Offset against this are the delightful descriptions of Diana. She is presented to us as pure and innocent, unaware of her beauty and tormented by the loss of her mother. By the time that Lucian comes across her naked in the moonlight, we are just as fascinated with her as he is.
With HUNTING DIANA, Ms.Orsini has shown off her glorious talent for bewitching the reader. To describe this tale as a simple vampire love story would be doing it an injustice. I found the secondary characters and storylines just as fascinating as the main characters. Lucian and Diana’s story is the hub of the book and is fascinating to read. They have their own sets of values and beliefs; being able to watch them play out against the backdrop of their all-consuming passion is a gift. The web of intricacies Ms. Orsini wove was brilliant. Characters and story lines meshed and amazed at every turn. If you read only one vampire tale this year, ensure that it is this one. With powerful imagery, sensual descriptions and a totally mesmerising plot full of twists and turns, you will not be disappointed.
Fallen Angel Reviews - 5 & RR
Lucien Gray, Champion of his people, is chosen to carry out the sentence the elders have chosen for their enemy Frank Nostrum. The punishment is to make his daughter Diana hunger for Lucien’s blood and become one of the bloodthirsty vampires called Slashers. Yet the moment he sets eyes on Diana his soul cries out soul mate. Even while trying to prove her innocence and fighting against her allure Lucien must fight for their future or condemn them both to loss and heartache.
Diana Nostrum had always believed her father crazy for believing in vampires. And between his madness in hunting and her Nana’s visions and telling her to remain a virgin till she meets her soul mate, she is not sure who is the most delusional. Yet out of the night comes a stranger who makes her body burn and her soul soar. Lucien takes her into the night binding her to him yet keeping secrets that could tear her world apart.. Can Diana come to terms with vampires being real and that her soul mate could be one of the legendary beings?
Not only must Lucien and Diana fight for their bonding and trust but other forces determined to destroy both of them. Can Lucien fulfill his duties and truly bond with Diana or will he lose his soul mate and his very life to the evil that will not stop until all they hold dear is torn apart? Is it really justice he is doing or is he a pawn in his mother’s vision of revenge?
Miss Orsini has really outdone herself with Hunting Diana. With her intensely graphic description of not only the bonding ritual but the daily life of Lucien’s people she brings the story to life. You find yourself pulled into the story deeper with every scene. Miss Orsini keeps her readers enthralled with every novel she writes. I found myself not only drawn to Lucien but to his stepfather Damien as well. If I had one suggestion it would be “Bring on Damien and Angelina’s continuing story!” If you are looking for a hot and spicy novel with a tender twist then Hunting Diana is just the one I definitely recommend.
Coffeetime Review - 5
Diana Nostrum always listened to her grandmother Lina about keeping her virginity and that she had a soul mate, and she would know him. Diana is twenty-five and desires to meet her soul mate soon, but it seems all she can find is a lingering shadow of a man in her dreams. That is, until she meets Lucien.
Lucien is a vampire, and actually a champion, but when his step brother is murdered by Frank Nostrum, the family and Lucien knows he has to be dealt with. They want Lucien to find out if his daughter Diana is leading vampire men to the slaughter, and if so, Lucien is to turn her. But what Lucien finds is an innocent, and one he is strongly attracted to.
As Diana and Lucien come together, they both know their feelings are strong and Diana is sure Lucien is the soul mate her grandmother spoke of. But Lucien still has a small doubt about Diana. Then the night of the bonding, something goes horribly wrong and increases Lucien’s doubt about Diana. But there is someone evil who wants Diana dead. Will Lucien find the truth before it is too late?
This vampire romance will rock your world. From the beginning you will be drawn in by the characters of this tale and ensnared by the action, danger, and intrigue. Set at a steady pace; this story is loaded with spine tingling action, chilling adventure, and a twister of a plot. Exceptional dialogue and very steamy sex scenes are also entwined to this tale, then tied off neatly with a sensational ending that makes this reader think there will be more to come. An absolute must read.
