My Book ===>>> I hope those of you who like my style of poetry will buy the book. It has over 100 of my poems. by
Published July 2002
My book is divided into 3 sections:
Heartbeats - Poems about various life subjects
:
From my poem "The End, the Beginning"
Now old and weary, I am still young.
Many beautiful dreams, they still come.
Not of glory, not of lust,
but of a beautiful place to rest my head.
They say that change and death must come;
they say that life hurts and is no fun;
yet one minute, one hour of pure joy
can rest all else if life be done.
Tears - Poems about myself, man in general:
From my poem "Musical Tears of Man"
Besides the lake, near fertile green meadow,
beast do enterprisingly play ..
They move with unhindered joy, here where
no step is trodden down by the meandering of man.
Precious Lord
thank you for my wilderness
where man's uneven touch sleeps gingerly.
In a far kinder chamber, serenity calms my musical tears.
The eagle flies in all my dreams
impervious to the open scars of man -
winking stars shine, happy moons glow, fresh rain falls
and the rhythms of nature's musical winds - blow continually.
Man - poems about people, and much more:
From my poem "Mountaintop"
He stood on his Mountaintop shouting, "I believe in freedom,"
Snow began to melt, sun came a shining, night turned into day.
He observed man's progress atop his great mountain kingdom,
It was farther than he could see, yet all seemed so far away.
He said, "Son come here, look just below our Mountaintop,"
He said. "Son, tell me what results, if man's growth never stops?"
He said, "Son, see North river, it flows from a mountain peek,"
He said, "Now son, I want you to observe well, before you speak!"
....
Hope I have enticed you to buy my book!
