This island, Snick Snickeeta, once of vast riches and a culture that was free
of any materialistic need, had fallen on some dire times. The people refused
to accept their conditions. However, they held onto their pretentions and delusions
as a means to escape reality. This sounded too familiar! Too much like my own
experiences and observations.
The Sons of Snick Snickeeta is one part cartoon, one part comedy, one part drama
with hints of sex and violence. There is political overtones with deception and a sense
of fantasy that is surrealistic! WHAT genre could I fit this 'epic' into? How could
I stage this for theater? how could I present it as a screenplay! How, how, how???
