Virgin's Blood - When Tasha Hinky was younger her Grandmother told her she should believe at least one impossible thing per day. Lately it’s been five, before breakfast!
After shooting the man who killed her best friend, Tasha is on the run. She'd expected that. She also expected to be alone. But she certainly never included being followed by a sizzling hot vampire into her plans. Micah Dartrazinski insists they are destined to spend eternity together.
Alicia - The Awakening - Alicia Chalmers has not had an easy life. A victim of rape, circumstances force her into a loveless marriage for her own safety. It doesn't take long before she finds herself falling for her new husband, a man she hardly knows.
Gabriel LeBlanc has many paranormal powers and even more responsibilities but all he wants is his mate to love him. He marries Alicia not only for her protection but because he desperately needs to keep the other half of his soul close. He knows full well she may never overcome her past and return his feelings.
As the newlyweds struggle to build a life together, their future is threatened by rogue vampires, Satan worshippers, and creatures from another dimension. The newlyweds pool their talents to fight the forces of evil that manage to slip into their world. Can Gabriel convince Alicia they were meant to be together regardless of what happened in the past and the very real danger that still threatens her?
When he finally pulled off the road into a gas station, I climbed out of the car and rushed to the bathroom. Only to find, much to my consternation, the darn thing was out of order.
"What have I done to deserve this?" I whined and stomped back to my Stratus, which was really a feat since my bladder was about to burst. I glared at Micah like it was his fault. "Use some of your magic and fix the toilet. The darn thing is out of order."
He just looked at me and shook his head. "Then use the men's room. I'm a vampire, not a plumber."
Alicia: The Awakening
Wow, wow and wow! I absolutely loved Alicia: The Awakening and immediately went to find the others in The Chosen series. Tianna mixes the right amount of steamy sex with a fantastic plot line in this second book in the series. Tianna also deals very well with the tragedy of Alicia’s loss of innocence and how she does not easily trust others, especially men afterward. Gabriel can warm my aura anytime. If you like the series by Patricia Briggs and JR Ward this series is right up your alley and a must read. I cannot recommend Alicia: The Awakening enough for those who love this genre.

Tianna Xander’s Virgin Blood has an epic feel. Each chapter brings new surprises and riveting scenes. It is a story told in first person which actually really works. Tasha is not an average heroine. She struggles to end a drug problem and she does murder a man in the very first part of the book. However, if ever someone deserved to be murdered, it is a man who rapes a woman as she lies dying. Micah blasts into the book and is gone again before you can catch your breath. When he returns to claim Tasha as his mate, he melts the computer screen. There is a scene of rape, but it doesn't involve the heroine. It adds to the drama in the story and leads into the next Chosen book.
