Butter is a young college student who meets and befriends another student, named Dana. Dana, a known lesbian, not wanting to spoil a very good friendship, hides the fact that she is gay.  Dana falls in love with Butter through out the story.  Butter, in cultivating the need for a male connection, turns her affections to a man...ten years her senior, who immediately notices that Dana is gay and that she secretly desires to win Butter over....Thus the Drama begins!!

As they began to lower the casket into the ground, Dana sat in her black Mercedes. It was filled with the things that she had accumulated for the last four years. She was on her way back to Atlanta. She thought about the first day she and Butter met. Dana's thoughts drifted back down memory lane.

I have loved the story badly. The use of students to show how the truel love can be spoiled by dishonest as well as intorelance sounds perfect to me. However, I don't understand why Dana choose to hide the fact that he is a gay. What made him choose to be a gay in the first place? Why he feels shy then for beibg a gay. If being a gay is something to be ashame of, he has to think of stopping. All in all I appreciate your choice of highliting the homosexual relationship. Please do somethink to help hate this relationship.
