Kelly was resting her head on her pillow on a chilly fall night. When she looked out her window, she could see the moon. It was a clear night, and
the sky was filled with stars. Almost too clear, she thought.
“Why can’t I sleep tonight?” she asked herself. “Is there something wrong?”
A sharp noise came from outside, scaring her.
“What’s that?” Kelly asked herself, as she looked out the window. All
she saw was a tree branch lying against the house. Kelly thought nothing
of it, and went to sleep. The next morning, she put on her winter coat, and
ventured outside. It was snowing lightly. Kelly began walking down the
trail by her house, which lead into the nearby woods. She saw the tracks
of a deer in front of her. She followed these tracks for several hundred
yards, until the tracks ended at a small creek. Kelly crossed the creek,
walking across on various sized rocks that protruded from the water, and
continued walking. The sun was high in the sky by now, and Kelly was in
the middle of nowhere.
“Where am I? Where is this place?” The land was a strange color, one
she’d never seen before. A cave was nearby. Kelly ventured into it, and sat
down. From somewhere in the dark, came a strange voice...
