Canvas In The Sky
October evening sky, a sight to behold,
hues of pink, melon and amber unfold.
Shimmering golds and oranges,
painted daintily around the clouds.
The silhouettes of the trees on the hill,
colors glowing and merging in the distance.
Majestic rays of sun pierce through the clouds,
streaking like rockets across the sky.
Feathery strokes painted so carefully,
the sun shining so bright through it all.
As the seconds and minutes pass,
the sight changes and rearranges.
The colors and beauty shift to new patterns,
I am awestruck as each new arrangement unfolds.
As the sun sinks lower the colors soften,
light blue and pink folding together.
All the colors of the artist’s palette he has used,
with hands of love, gently painting up above.
The beauty before me holds my gaze,
I think forever, me it will never cease to amaze.
