Excerpt
Samuel Riley White and his wife, Martha Lewis, were my great-great-great grandparents. I have spent the last ten years researching their descendants, mainly in Washington County, Kentucky, where they raised their family in the north section of the county. Many of their children and grandchildren remained in the same area during their entire lives. Between 1860 and 1870, probably after the Civil War, Samuel and Martha moved to Raccoon Township, Parke County, Indiana. Several of their children moved with them, including Matthew and Nathaniel.
