"A New Beginning"
Where Do We Go Wrong?
What a precious GEM;
I came across,
Brought into my life
So unexpectedly, so unselfishly
Assisting me though my misery.
A heart of gold, not a harsh word to scold
Open arms to hold; helping me to cope,
Letting me know, I need to be brave
I needed to be able to show you,
That I can survive
All on my own
It'll be hard, knowing that I had to let you go
It would have been so much easier
"Holding on" to you, just for me
When you really needed to be
"Set-free"
Someone let her slip
Through their grip,
Tightly clutched,
To no avail
An
"Hour glass"
Suddenly flipped,
Turned upside down,
The sand slowly trickling forth!
Until you realize there is nothing left
All the sand ... gone
It was only a matter of time
So often not appreciating what we have
Until it's too late, then we wonder why,
Where did we go wrong?
Coming Home
Sun beating down
on the african plain
The eagle souring up high,
listen carefully you'll hear the cry,
underneath the african sky
Feel the earth rumble to the drum beat
Feel the earth tremble underneath my feet.
Look at the sky,
dust twirling up high
high up, in the sky
The cry of the fish eagle
floating on high
As he circles the sky,
brings a tear to my eye
Under the african sky,
the eagle crying on high
clouds drifting by
while I cry.
I'm home again, home again,
Home in Africa
The Trap
The Lady Fox
Cunningly
Stalking the victim
Of her desire
Slyly
Intent on lighting his
Fire
Playfully luring him
Into her trap
Carefully
Making sure he doesn't
Get a gap
He lies down to take
A nap
Unaware
That it's a trap
The Cunning Lady Fox
Licks her lips
As she sits
A sly twinkle
In her eye
Yes! It's a trap
Alone & Forlorn
The sad Lady Fox
Sits alone and forlorn
Lowering her head!
Her small body
Feeling like lead!
Softly whining, pining
Contemplating
Her fate!
Now that
She no longer
Has a soul mate!
