Not Monkey Girl
My Name is Not Monkey Girl
She loves to have fun, make new friends, play ball, jump rope and dance. Some day, she wants to become a fashion model like her friend, Tyra.
Eight year old Candace was born with a very special birthmark called a Giant Congenital 'Hairy' Nevus. This condition is very rare and frightens many children away from her before they even get to know what a lovely friend she can be.
Candace explains, in her own way, what her world is like. See what it is like to be a real friend in this adventure of a day in the life of a child as seen through the eyes of a little girl who was born with a Nevus on her face.

| After reading My Name is Not Monkey Girl it touch my soul so deeply ,to where my one prayer is that she gets on the Oprah show one day to let this world see her beautiful smile. I let my eight year old granddaughter read the book and it taught her a lesson on compassion. |

The first edition of My Name is Not Monkey Girl was just lovely with a positive message for children. I love Candace and I am proud to be a part of this child's story. I pray that God continues to use her to spread His powerful message of love and I cannot wait to purchase the second edition for Nya.
