An African American male, in the seventies, creates a new industry, yet faces subtle racism and financial greed and must decide if it is worth it.

Robert Watson is intelligent, educated and hard-working. But when he perceives he will never be more than the token black in predominantly white companies, he sets out to establish his own company. "Inventions" is an excellent techno-thriller with a Black protagonist. Other examples of this genre are "Hacker Cracker" and my own book "The Monkeybars of Life".
