Embraced by the Wind was written over a number of years and is only a beginning of a long journey into the wonderful world of literary adventure.
Some of the poetry is a coded journal through abuse, pain and recovery where only the author fully understands it. Other poetry within the book is light and fun. Several of the poems are written as dedications to others. Their letters to the author are included.
About half of the book is dedicated to short stories. Some of the stories are experimental while testing various creative avenues. Others are written for emotional effects based on real-life events, dreams, or nightmares.
This book is only the beginning and a launching pad for furthering and bettering my writing talents.

If I write about the truth in life

If I write about the pain life gives
Then I may touch your compassion

Then I may reach your heart
If I write about the beauty we share
Then we can connect with peace
If my writings never touch you at all
Then I have failed
