The side effect of a new drug sets off a chain reaction of murder and revenge in a quaint Victorian town on the Jersey seashore. Reminiscent of Victorian London, it provides the perfect setting for a disturbed young man who roams the foggy, gaslit streets searching for the meaning of voices in his mind.

Side Effect
"SIDE EFFECT is thrilling, chilling, and almost impossible to put down. It is pure suspense, and some of the characters are as frightening as Hannibal the Cannibal. Meticulously written, the book is very detailed and carefully developed. There are times the detail is almost overwhelming, especially with regard to the murders, but as a whole, the author does an excellent job of capturing Cable's insanity and Rudy Hoffman's depravity, while managing to convey the romance and happiness Maggie and Ryan feel as they get to know each other. No particular character stands out; this is a novel with an ensemble of characters who end up linked together in ways you can't imagine, and I won't reveal. After all, what good is a suspense novel if I give away the suspense? A thriller to the core, SIDE EFFECT is no light read, but the result is satisfying and entertaining. Pick this one up and put on your seatbelt!" Reviewed by Astrid Kinn of Romance Reviews Today

Medical Suspense
"A gorgeous town on the Jersey seacoast, Cape May thrives as a quaint Victorian town complete with gas fueled lamps and horse drawn carriages. It is virtually like walking into London in the 1800’s, but this small town is about to fall victim to great horror… horror that starts with a demented young man, Mason Cable, who is convinced that Queen Victoria is commanding him to rid the town of rude, unfriendly people and a miracle drug, Melcion.
Rudy Hoffman, Director of Clinical Research for Wolfson-Burdett, a major pharmaceutical company, is on top of the world. He has developed what he feels will be a miracle anti-depressant. However, the FDA might not agree, so he decides to fudge the results of the animal genetic testing. When a brilliant, young doctor, Maggie Emory, is hired as their Director of Scientific Information, she finds the change, which leads to Rudy Hoffman’s dismissal from the company. Rudy blames Maggie, along with a few others and vows his revenge.
Special Agent Ryan Berrigan finds himself assigned to a string of sadistic murders that brings him into the world of Melcion, Rudy Hoffman, Mason Cable and an unwitting victim in Rudy Hoffman’s plans for revenge, Maggie Emory.
Set in a town that is reminiscent of Victorian London, it is hard not to find ties between SIDE EFFECT and tales of Jack The Ripper. Both tales are equally chilling, although the realism in SIDE EFFECT gripped my attention and held me entranced throughout.
Rudy is as evil as they come; I hate to think that a man of his nature could establish themselves in such a company. Mason is cunning and equally frightening, he and Rudy make a horrific pair. While there is no true mystery to solve, the key players are all introduced fairly early, the thrill of the book lies in the chase to catch the killers before time runs out. With the eerie setting and a great cast of characters, SIDE EFFECT is sure to gain a great following."

"SIDE EFFECT: A Dose of Terror:
A great read with no rest stops. I suggest that you invite a friend over if you read it on a dark & foggy night. Scary SIDE EFFECT:
Frightening and relentless. Deserves to be in the same class as SILENCE OF THE LAMBS."
