The Darktower name held the power to make one shiver with trepidation as it rolled off the tongue. Thorne Darktower, Earl of Cliffehaven, stood tall and ominous, resentful of his own existence and plotting against his own family's life-long enemy until he is touched by the heart of an angel and shown the promise of life as she lifts the wool of hatred from his eyes.
Aspen Tiller found herself as an unsuspecting pawn in a strategic game of self-preservation. With her innocence and child-like ideals held close to her, she reaches deep within herself to accomplish the impossible, command the respect of those around her, welcome the love of all who knew her and face the wrath of the devil who covets her...And still, embedded in her character, is a courage so noble that it refuses to allow her to give in to defeat as she trudges through the obstacles in her path to emerge anew...But does it destroy the woman so many love?
The Master and his Lady…
“Let me go!” she screamed at him behind clenched teeth. “I do not belong here!”
Finally, he had her where he wanted her…right beneath him. He pinned her arms above her head with one hand and sat on her thighs to limit her mobility. He did not think he could sustain another blow to the groin. She continued to thrash around on the floor until she tired and just laid there panting from her exertion.
He looked as though he would snarl at her, but his words came out fairly calm. “You are mine, and you would do well to remember that. You have no say in the matter and it would be wise of you to accept your fate at what it is before real harm comes to you.”
“You are vile!” she said back to him and spat over his fine clothing.
Thorne could not believe what had just happened and he wanted to strike her down, to make her realize who he was. But instead, he swore loud and long and pulled her to her feet just to throw her across her bed.
“You are mine!” he roared again. “You are confined here until you come to your senses!”
Thorne bent and drew up his cane and limped to the door bellowing for the guards to stand directly outside her door and make for certain she did not pass for any reason.
Aspen picked up the candlestick that burned beside her bed and threw it with all her might at Thorne’s back but hit the wall beside him. He turned around just to see her get the blanket containing her things and hurl it his way as well screaming at the top of her lungs and saw it fall just short of his boots. He looked up at her standing there with her hair askew and her jaw set in anger, arched his eyebrow at her and left her there. Once outside her door, a smile broke his mouth of the gloom it had known for many years past and he forced himself to keep from laughing. He had met his match.
It sucked me in!
"My thoughts on 'Noble Courage'...Well, I fell in love with the story! It sucked me in so deep that it made me laugh, cry and feel anger. I felt as though I were a part of the story. I use the word 'story' instead of 'book', because to me, it was better than a book. I felt the love, pain, excitement and all the other emotions that not just Aspen (the main character) felt, but all of the main characters in this story went through."
Noble Courage for me is summed up in one word...Amazing! I was amazed at the story line...I was amazed at the characters and the way Ms. Korth gave them depth, emotion, and heart...I was amazed at the descriptive qualities that Ms. Korth possesses...I was amazed that this book of 483 pages held my interest at every word, paragraph and page...I am Amazed!..... Beauty and the Beast just became better...it is called Noble Courage and it is a must read for anyone that enjoys being spell bound on a cold and rainy afternoon. Just Amazing!

Romance books are some of my favorite things to read, especially ones that take place in another time and another place. They allow you to escape into a different world. This is definitely the case in Noble Courage. From the moment you begin reading this book you are caught up in the events that surround Aspen and Thorne. Aspen is a courageous and strong heroine that you will immediately like. Thorne is they type of hero that will instantly draw you to his side. Daisha Korth has a wonderful style to her writing that makes the reader feel like they are a part of the action and not just reading about it. It is definitely a gem of a read and I would highly recommend it to anyone!
