When a nine-year-old girl is chosen to save the animals of Sunny Hollow, it’ll take a little instinct, a little knowhow, and the help of a raccoon, a honeybee, and a very special fairy to locate the antidote and escape the dangers of Lavender Field in this modern day fairy tale with a twist.

Heartwarming, sincere, and generously penned, Emily Grace and the Secret of Lavender Field  is a playful tale for young, intermediate readers. It offers magic, mystery, and a big lesson on honing one’s inner strength and believing in the impossible. Sunny Hollow is a very special place filled with all different sorts of animals. When a friendly turtle leads nine-year-old Emily Grace there, it becomes clear that she has been chosen to return something to the furry and feathery creatures she soon meets. Forced on a voyage of mythic proportions, Emily Grace will be helped in their cause by a honeybee named Turbo, a raccoon known as Ricochet, and Lady Lia, a very special fairy, though it’s up to her to solve a riddle and undo what’s been done.

“Hey! Watch it, will ya… I just had a wash and wax.”
Emily hears the voice and quickly crawls over to a tree stump. “Who is that? Where are you?”
she asks in a shaky voice.
“I’m right here by the big rock.”
Looking at the rock she stands and brushes herself off. “No you’re not… all I see are rocks
and some weird green thing.”
“For your information that green thing would be me… I happen to be a turtle and a
magnificent creature, don’t you think?”
