"The Complete works of an Ignorant Hillbilly" is designed to demonstrate that hillbillies are just as educated, creative and able as any other segment of society. It is all in fun, but serves its purpose well.
For instance, "The World's Wackiest Poetry" illustrates how the English language can be totally destroyed, and still make sense (if you can read it). It is introduced by a prologue explaining the reasoning.
There are also serious rhyming pieces which may or may not be referred to as poetry, but which are very thought-provoking
