The Starfish People is an amazing story; it kept me up until late at night. I couldn't put it down. As a science fiction/fantasy fan, your book ranks as one of my favorites. Dear Leann : Congratulations on your receiving the 2008 IPPY Award For Excellence In Independant Publishing. The award is well deserved. You are really making in-roads and are carving out a spot for your hard work. Seeing what writers like you and others are accomplishing helps to give me the drive to achieve also. Liked the story on your book signing, must have been a great feeling. I haven't really added any poetry or blogs for the last few months because I have been working on a book poetry, mainly about the memories through out the early years of my life. I have submited my work to Xlibris, and I signed on to a package too. Of course, naturally at some point there will be a book about the later years too. And of course I want to write another book of poetry similar to Lighthouse Rainbows. So I guess you can say I have my hands full. I have received much encouragement from Authorsden writers, especially from you and Rosamarie Skaine, and I appreciate it very much. Leann Marshall’s “The Starfish People” is such a wonderful writing, (recognized for excellence as the Independent Publisher Books Awards’ Silver Medal Winner); one must ask just what it was that could have possibly won the gold?
