The first in a series of books based around the fictional Sheraton Moss estate in Teesside... only this story actually happened! Based on the real life events of a traumatised teenager, this book will take to the darker side of family life.
Ten years ago, Dawn Evans devastated her daughter with news that would change her life forever. Jack and Dawn Evans were getting divorced. Set around the fictional Sheraton Moss estate in Teesside, this story follows the emotional turmoil of a distraught teenager, as she comes to terms with the divorce of her parents and the horrific events that surrounded it. She struggles desperately as problem after problem bombards her, not only does she have her family issues to deal with but she also has the residents of the estate to contend with. With grim determination, she tries to defend herself against the horrors of her life, when Gary, her mum's new partner, moves in her problems don't get any better - in fact they get worse… As Gary and Dawn endeavour to make a new life for themselves, away from Jack's abusive influence, they seem to be blighted at every turn and there is nothing anyone can do to help them. This story is based on the real events suffered by a troubled teenager.
This book is available as a traditional novel and as a downloadable e-book. Prices start fom £4.99.
The next Sheraton Moss book is scheduled for late 2009 and will be called Every 7th Wave.
Excerpt
"The divorce was now looming. Mum was trying to remain friends with Dad, despite his obnoxious behaviour. I think it was an attempt, certainly on Mum's side of things, to try and make their separation as painless as possible for Mike and me. Little did any of us realise at the time just how awful things would become..."
Chapter 1 FNC
"Gary had started to come around quite a lot. I still wasn't very comfortable with him around me."
Chapter 3 FNC

Great Read
An unforgettable read, just when you think things can't get any worse for the teenage girl, they do. Would definitely recommend.

An Unexpected Pleasure
An excellent insightful book into the cruel reality of a teenager and her family's struggle to overcome unimaginable torment. With unexpected twists and turns, it was hard to put the book down.
Well done Dave Brooks.
