Joshua is a calculated professional. In the world of contract killing, he's a surgeon, but the profession has left him alone, unable to enter into any serious relationships. The only friend he's been able to keep is Homicide Detective Gloria Tyler.

As Detective Tyler begins tracking a killer she believes walks in Joshua's world, she reaches out for help. Meanwhile Joshua finds himself rapt by a chance encounter with an unknown woman. For the first time, he feels compelled to pursue romance.

Carmen is picking up the pieces of her life. Returning to Denver after years overseas, she's getting back to work. Working with an unscrupulous handler, Ira Roth, she begins filling contracts as a killer for hire. Carmen utilizes a unique approach to her job that soon puts her on Detective Tyler's radar.

Joshua and Carmen are reluctantly drawn to each other. Both working hard to keep the lies straight and enjoy some sort of companionship.

Soon, a death lottery sucks both contractors into a suicide run against a guild of assassins. Tyler draws closer to the killer she's searching for, and Roth slithers between everyone looking to come out on top.

Joshua and Carmen have to find the strength to endure love & bullets.

Professional Reviews

Josee Morgan of Apex Reviews
A dangerously efficient contract killer, Joshua is among the elite in his chosen field; however, given the brutal, violent nature of his profession, he has little time for romance...having returned home after spending years overseas, Carmen soon gets back to work as a killer for hire; little does she know, though, when her path crosses with Joshua’s, her life will soon change in ways she can hardly imagine...when the two professional killers suddenly find themselves facing down death from every imaginable angle, they’ll have to rely on their collective strength – and love – to survive the greatest danger they’ve ever encountered...

The dynamic scribe behind such literary jewels as Gun Hand and Hands Of The Bull, standout author Radcliff Lance returns with another instant hit in Suicide Run. An engrossing suspense thriller, Lance’s latest offering draws you in from the very beginning and captivates your interest throughout. Furthermore, with well-crafted, intersecting storylines involving the fates of Joshua, Carmen, and a host of other uniquely original characters, Suicide Run reads like a gritty street soap opera with the balance of desperate life and budding love hanging in the mix. A well written, attention-grabbing page-turner.

By all rights, Joshua is a bad guy. His job is killing who ever he’s paid to kill. Not taking under account why or knowing anything about the private lives of these people. They’re a mark, a target, just a job, but there is more to Joshua than meets the eye. Despite his cold hearted career, he does have some compassion for certain people. One of these few is Detective Tyler Sergeant, a woman he’d known for many years and had established a close friendship with, and Tyler was also very fond of Joshua, maybe more so than she wanted to admit, but Joshua’s heart belonged to someone else. He’d met Carmen while staking out his next hit at a restaurant, and he was quite taken with her, but Carmen was not an easy take. She was witty, but cautious, and her self assuredness told Joshua that she didn’t need his attention. With the passing of time they grew closer, and each felt they’d met that one person they’d been waiting for, but Carmen too, held a dark secret, and it wouldn’t be until Carmen was faced with being a target herself, before they’d learn of the other’s secret life.
This was a great read! This author has a way of making you like the bad guy! I’m not normally attracted to the shoot em’ up kind of stories, but this one kept my interest till the end.

Reader Reviews for "Suicide Run: Love & Bullets"

This review is from: Suicide Run: Love & Bullets (Paperback)
Suicide Run, written eloquently by author Racliff Lance, is a story about a hitman named Joshua and from the very first chapter I was immediately drawn in. I read a lot of books for review, and I can honestly say this opening scene was one of the more intriguing I have read. Straight to the point. Straight to the drama. I know exactly what the book will be about and whose point of view the story will be told in. Polished. Excellent.

I just got done speaking with OceanView Publishing at the Barnes n Noble the night prior to reading this novel, and they are 90% thriller/mystery publishing, looking for more novels. I recommend this book be picked up quick!

I also read a lot of work that is independently published, and contrary to what I'm told, most of it is rather well done. With mainstream I get the standard, not unedited work, but usually nothing special either -formula books. But with independent authors, I do find the coal (unedited, uncared for works), but yet I often find diamonds. With indie, always something unique.

This book is one of the diamonds. Couldn't put it down. I'm so glad I have a smartphone so I could transfer the .pdf to it and read wherever I go.

A Highly Recommended Mystery Thriller
