Ecology helps us to see ourselves holistically. It provides a basis upon which we can evaluate and adjust the interrelationships between all of the components of self that are interacting within the physical environment of the human body. This “Community of Self” includes our ego, emotions, intuition, imagination and spirit as well as the flow of energy between them. In ecologic terms, you might say that most of these inhabitants of self are “indigenous” to the human form. Spirit, however, is indigenous to the Cosmos, and intuition is the connecting strand between the local and broader environments of self and Cosmos, respectively. As humans, we have been entrusted with ensuring optimal conditions for our spirit to accomplish what it intended. Our purpose, then, is to strive to be the highest expression of our authentic, whole selves in relationship to others and our environment, and to model this for the young ones in our lives. Know that in expressing your truth, you model expression for your children. Conversely, if you suppress your authenticity, you model suppression for all those within your realm of influence. We are stewards of that which we model, whether we realize it or not. Remember that we are all of the same Eternal Spirit and that by liberating your own truth, you liberate the same Spirit that runs through all creation. And, by enabling others to support and strengthen their truths, you support and strengthen the Spirit that bonds us. Think and act in terms of unity.
