Long ago, when the Ute Indians dwelt all across the Rocky Mountains, a tribe thrived among the wild life of what is now Colorado in peace and harmony. The chief of this tribe, Chief Brave Hart, was a strong leader, as shown in the chiseled wisdom of his face. He was a man of few words, but when he did speak, it seemed as if Nature herself silenced to hear his message.
Chief Brave Hart had a daughter named Raven. She was named Raven because her hair was so black that it reflected every color of the rainbow like the feathers of a raven in flight. Raven was the most beautiful Indian Princess in all of Colorado and many warriors wished to marry her. Who ever did marry Raven would become the next chief of the tribe...
