Kenshiro Hidori always wanted to be someone, to be able to mark his name in the books of history. He often dreamt of what it would be like to be a samurai of ancient Japan or to face the hordes of the great Roman Empire. Little did he know, how he would eventually come to do just that.

With the help of a strange man's offer to play a “game,” Kenshiro is faced with the opportunity to travel along the endless timeline and make his own name in the world. With the help of his guide, Sato, he is able to travel to destinations and times that he never would have had the chance to discover on his own.

Living history through his own eyes and actions, Kenshiro adopts many visages in order to fit in with his current life. Living from a samurai under the rule of a great and powerful daimyo to being a gladiator of the ancient Roman Empire, Kenshiro learns what it is like to be thrown into the greatest battles of history.

Through his eyes and his tales, he shows us the true meaning of honor and compassion. From the vantage point of being an emperor to the cunning skill of a ninja, Kenshiro holds honor and duty above all other codes. In this separate time, how will history look upon him? Will he be an everlasting hero or a man who is quickly forgotten by time?
