This book of poetry is connecting the natural and spiritual realm. Now I know some may already believe in Kingdom come, while some are a little leery. Well, for those of you who are leery and think there is no way out of the mental, physical, emotional and financial anguish we travel, I am here to let you know there is a way out. There have been times I just wanted to give up; I needed to make a connection. I believed in Kingdom come and through His mercy and grace, I could not, than it became I would not give up.
I thought about the roads I travel, pondering on how I really made it through. I had to stop believing what I thought was true about my circumstances, and believe in the connection to God. I have been there and done that, and now I am doing this. Telling you about my struggles, with connections to God, Jesus Christ, He has the answers, the solutions to whatever you may go through. I thank God for the struggle. I thank God for the connection and I thank God I am here to tell you in my poetic expression.
I have experienced personal hero status achieving something worthwhile one minute, and the next minute reality sets in and I see the wind, faced with obstacles and then some. However, my experience has allowed me to travel up and down the rough
side of the mountain, sometimes over and over and at the same time only making it half way. But I can and will remain optimistic, because my God I acknowledge minute to minute, hour to hour and day to day. Believe me it takes acknowledgement every minute to make it. With that in mind, I see him every time I sit and write my thoughts, my pain, my love and my wishes as well as my gratefulness as a form of expressing who and what I am (good and bad). What I like most is that I can return at any time to anything I write to meet him all over again. I decided to name this book “Specks” because of it’s meaning being small bits and pieces, regardless how I see things bigger than they really are and believe me I do, they are just “Specks” in comparison to what Jesus went through. He is in the middle of all my craziness.
For the word that God speaks is alive and full of power (making it active, operative, energizing and effective). It is shaper than any two-edge sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and (the exposing and sifting and immortal) spirit, and of joints and marrow (of the deepest parts of our nature) exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.
