Excerpt

She walked the streets alone, as she had on many nights before, just thinking of the next plan. Humanity knew nothing of her struggles; her loneliness, the war between the vampires and the day walkers - both species immortal. The war raged night after night while the city slept.
The day walkers were hybrids, half vampire half human, and she had been raised from a child to despise them. But part of her envied them, she longed to live in the light as they did; she’d never seen the beautiful colours of a sunrise, or a blue sky with a rainbow as a storm had just passed. She had begun to hate what she was.

"‘Forbiden Fruit’ is just one of Tammy's tales from the book that will take you from this world into a much darker, more sinister, place. She writes as if she knows ‘the other side’ and who is to say, she does not?"
