Review by Nicola Ward - poet/author
"A beautiful poetic tale which I found gripping and inspiring. Comes right from the author's heart and a lot of hard work was out into the storyline and rhyming. I would recommend this to any poetry/romance lovers. 5/5"

TREASURE - Chapter 1
Beneath the ocean far and wide,
There hides a cave amidst the tide;
And in that cave a land divine,
In quiet hush it sleeps with time;
In wait of Fin called by the stars,
The bravest soul to swim the shores.
And so this Fin through raging waters,
Swims day and night in search of land,
That others deem exists no longer;
Its presence they don't comprehend.
But Fin is drawn to this island
That he believes still stands alone.
No matter what he'll find this treasure.
That is his calling to the throne.
He swims with ocean life before him,
That stretches out to the unknown.
He fears nothing that might haunt him,
And knows he won't be overthrown.
Day turns to night, night into day.
At last Fin nears his destination.
The cave is there in his wake,
With open doors for exploration.
He swims inside, and there it stands,
This mighty land before his glory.
His eyes they wonder round the strand,
In search of some eye-catching story.
And there he finds it by the shore,
An angel lying still and frail.
She steals his gaze forevermore.
Inside, his heart gives out a wail.
He nears her body curved and slim,
All washed in foam and sandy hair.
Her sheer dress it beckons him.
His hands caress her here and there.
They brush along her rosy cheeks,
Her skin like silk beneath his touch,
And trace their way to luscious lips,
His own crave to kiss so much.
He gently shakes her to and fro.
She neither stirs nor makes a sound.
He tries to give his breath to her,
But she lays still there on the ground.
He needs to wake this gem so precious,
To break her out of her trance.
She may be lying there unconscious,
But he'll make sure she'll come to dance.
He shuts his eyes and then with yearning,
His lips entwined with hers so sweet,
They kiss her hard with hunger burning,
Until she comes to from her sleep.
His soul's passion overflowing,
Beneath the glowing orange sun,
It seeps through her, her body drawing,
Feeding her strength she needs to run.
Her lashes flutter with the wind now,
Reveal slowly chocolate eyes.
One look at them and he is taken,
Lost deep inside the floating skies.
A beaming smile hugs this sweetie
As she looks up at Fin above.
He smiles back at their meeting
That starts their journey into love...
