Dale. A Love Story
My Storehouse

Throughout the series of Dale’s story, lives are dramatically changed.   From the stress of tragedy, frustration and anger, his character boldly flows through the human emotions of his community to express a flattering skill leaning towards a spiritual dimension.   The story adds value to the life of a person, yet does not make judgments against them.
It is full of life stories, filled with pain, but also lifts the heart gracefully.

How will God move him, and what purposes will lead him to carry a hope to the people around him?

It is a mezmerizing and dramatic affair for a normal middle class family torn apart, yet suspended on a string of obscurity by a young lad’s uncanny, yet beautiful character.

Who is Dale?

What is so different about Dale compared with any other character in a fictional story?   What are his dreams?  What are his fears?   Will he come to know more about himself and what God is trying to teach him?

Dale is an inspirational and heartwarming Australian Christian story that deals with many social, domestic, family and christian issues that we all face today in our own lives.

You will warm to his character.  You will feel the tenseness in his spirit and learn of his unique love for others, sometimes causing many differences of opinion.   His character is mysterious, difficult and hard to grasp, but at the same time, his love is a gift of God and strengthens our own hearts for God Kingdom.

HIS EARLY CHILDHOOD.

Out of the mid 1960s, a handsome, six year old boy brings havoc to a very comfortable middle class christian family.  He completely changes their lives as he grows to adulthood, while bearing a mysterious and senseless past deep within him.   What is it?    How does he deal with the events that have brought him to this new existence.

Dale is abandoned on the doorstep at the age of six years to move into a time line of mystery and spirit.  No one can or will understand where God is directing him to be when they are faced with such an amazing young lad.

What about his sisters and his parents?  What do they feel?   No one could have prepared them for this bizarre and remarkable child.   Was God trying to play a huge game with this normal Australian family, or was He using them for a unique reason that no one would ever understand?

He meets a young girl and their friendship is sacred, until he comes to know her truth.

Dale is an eerie story, yet filled with inspirational energy..

It’s full of mystery, hope, drama, human need, grace and love.   It will encourage and inspire you in your own walk with God and how you approach God more personally.  You see yourself in many of the characters, many you will recognise as people you know.

Professional Reviews

Dale. A Love Story
Book Review
by Phyllis R. Moses

ďDaleĒ is a charming story about an ordinary Australian family whose love and compassion reach out beyond familiar boundaries to encompass an abused, abandoned young man. ďDaleĒ is more than a story about Godís endless love as portrayed by this family. Itís a story of how the miracle of unconditional love permeates hearts and changes lives.

Joel and Simone were already parents when they met Dale. Yet, their concern for this boy became imperative. They reached out, overcoming obstacles, facing opposition in many shapes, and enveloped him in their loving hearts and arms. Dale was seriously injured in an automobile wreck that took the life of his birth mother. Simone reacted out of her deep tenderness to bring him the healing that bound him to her and, ultimately, their entire family.

How is an adopted child integrated into a family already set on their life paths? What areas of life-style are altered or changed by this new family member? The entire family explores past years in this young manís life. This search uncovered unspeakable hurts and abuse, yet Godís love and forgiveness triumphed in bringing about joy and peace in the lives of this family.

The author deftly guides us through their lives; lives with problems, lives with human weaknesses and strengths, often facing unanswerable dilemmas. Surely, there were problems, but there were also joyful resolutions. The threads of family activity weave a beautiful tapestry-a work of art that shows the results of committed Christian living. It also demonstrates to all a model of a family who knows that obedience is part of Godís perfect will.

Furthermore, itís a story of a couple who lived for something bigger than themselves, getting lost in a cause for someone else, setting their eyes and hearts on Jesus.

This book inspired me, delighted me and instructed me. If a novel can achieve this, then itís a book to be savored.
