I welcome you to journey through a story of survival, of love, of stubbornness, of miracles and of coming back home; based on emails that were sent to family and friends during our long ordeal.

 "He's not dead".

The roller coaster ride began.  He was without oxygen for eight minutes.  An ambulance took him to the nearest hospital, which then transported him by helicopter to a specialized heart unit.  His condition mandated he be on life support.

Excerpt

'If I ever wanted to make peace, the time had come. I methodically proceeded to pack bags of necessities for a few days, unsure of what I would find. My stomach was in knots, my head spinning with so many unanswered questions. I had to see for myself. With a full range of emotions and very little information, I did the only thing I knew to do. I went home to say goodbye to my daddy.'
