After three years of unrequited love, and steamy fantasies, Elfina "Elf" Jeffries has just about given up on gaining her boss's attention. How was any self-respecting woman supposed to seduce a man who was oblivious to her cues? Then the first gift arrived...

Every Santa needs an Elf, and Dayton Kringle is no exception. His offer for a temporary affair, just long enough to get from Christmas Eve to New Year's, will satisfy a three-year craving.

His is a simple design:
One beautiful Elf
Twelve sexy gifts
A little spanking
Some light bondage
And ten days of no-strings sex

make one very satisfied Santa. But when the ten days are up, will he be able to give up the Elf of his wildest Dominant dreams?

Santa's Elf is an erotic contemporary romance novel following the growing relationship of toymaker Dayton Kringle and his sexy administrative assistant, Elfina Jeffries.

In the days leading up to Christmas Eve, Dayton will test every boundary and limit Elfina Jeffries has, all the while introducing her to his world of Dominance and submission. As Elfina learns more about her own sexuality she is as determined to make Dayton see that more than physical attraction which connects them.

Her first gift arrived on Monday, twelve days before Christmas.

It appeared when Elf stepped out to get her lunch, and lay in the center of her desk as she pushed through her door, hands filled with the covered plastic bowl containing her salad and a bottle of iced tea. Elf stood staring at the gold foil-wrapped box as the door swung shut behind her. Setting her lunch aside on the reception area coffee table, Elf examined the square box covering half of her desk blotter. Expensive gold foil and silver fabric bows decorated it, making her reluctant to follow the simple “Open me” instructions on the vellum tag taped to the top.

Taking a seat in her comfortable executive chair, Elf lifted the gift. Returning it to the desktop she contemplated it for a moment, wondering who could have given it to her. Carefully peeling away the tape, she removed the paper, revealing a deep blue, velvet box.

Fingers trembling, Elf raised the hinged lid. A sheet of vellum, like the tag on the wrapping paper, was folded in quarters covering the contents. Lifting the paper, Elf gasped at the four chains tucked into the eight-by-ten-inch box.

All four were made of alternating silver and gold links, each small enough to still be feminine while large enough to resemble the chain used to secure gates and hold dogs in a yard.

Pulling the shortest chain free, she estimated its length to be just over fifteen inches, with a single clasp on one end and an O-ring at the other -- a necklace of sorts, Elf guessed. Returning it to its tray, she pulled out the second one, and was more certain of its purpose considering its length was close to thirty inches with the same clasp closure and O-ring at each end.

In high school she’d briefly indulged in the trend of wearing a waist chain. The second gold and silver chain reminded her of the short-lived fashion accessory.

As for the third and fourth chains -- their purpose stymied her. Putting the waist chain back, she pulled the shorter of the two remaining chains out, and studied the clasps at both ends of the twelve inch strand. The longer of the two also carried the clasps at both ends, but it was at least twice as long as the third. About nine inches from each end, three round, onyx beads -- maybe an inch in diameter -- replaced the third, sixth, and ninth links on the remaining six inches of chain.

Elfina (Elf) Jeffries has had the hots for her boss, Dayton Kringle for over three years. Working in his toy factory, her attempts to pique his curiosity fall on deaf ears, until one day, she finds a mysterious package on her desk. Imagine her surprise when she discovers her admirer is none other than Dayton. He wants a no-strings affair with her, lasting a period of ten days, starting on Christmas Eve. He plans on giving her twelve gifts in total, one each day of Christmas to help explore her sexuality. Will Elf agree to his proposal and accept his gifts? Can Dayton bear to let his Elf go when the ten days are completed?

After reading Santa’s Elf, I’ll never be able to sing the song The Twelve Days of Christmas again without fondly thinking about Elf and Dayton. Santa’s Elf is a clever piece of writing, blending beloved icons of the holiday, D/s, and everyday life. Dayton is the owner of a toy empire who’s a troubled soul that has a need for sexual domination. Ms. Rain lets us see into his character, uncovering his past, introducing us to the people who know him best. While they acknowledge his physical attraction to Elf, they cannot help but question his motivation behind introducing her into the D/s scene. I appreciated these secondary characters because they added an additional dimension to the story. I adored Elfina’s character, a pint-sized pixie who loves this complex man. She’s no push over, deciding to go along with his proposal with an open heart and mind, hoping he will decide on a permanent partnership. Their budding D/s relationship builds to orgasmic proportions as Dayton masters his elf, using the twelve gifts he promised her. The secondary characters of Elf’s best friend and mom are a riot! I loved the realistic interaction she has with them and look forward to Elf’s friend receiving a story of her own. I hope that many within Dayton’s circle of friends with also be given their own stories. Brava, Ms. Rain! I will pull out Santa’s Elf every year to get into the spirit of the holiday.

Elfina ‘Elf’ Jeffries has been trying for three years to get her sexy boss’s attention but to no avail. Using every trick in the book, he seems oblivious to her. Then the first gift arrives. Dayton Kringle has lusted after Elf ever since she first walked into his office and now that Christmas was approaching, it was time for Santa to get a piece of Elf. Dayton Kringle, toy maker and a man with a heart for the homeless and under-privileged doesn’t want anything lasting with Elf, he just wants sex, just wants to get her out of his system and move on. But, Elf is proving to be his undoing and with each gift she gives him a bit more of her heart. But is he ready to give her his?

This is a sensuous, sexy story of a man purely in first. He sets about seducing the woman who has featured in his fantasies and the premise of giving her twelve gifts for Christmas, and each one pertaining to the BDSM lifestyle, then initiating her is a page turner supreme! This reviewer particularly liked the ’20 strokes’ game. Ms. Rain gives her reader a sexy feast, a sensuous read and a highly emotional story that had this reader tearing up some at the end. This reviewer enjoyed the secondary characters also, and has heard that Bryce will be getting his own story soon. This reviewer will be standing in line for it. Qwillia Rain is an author to watch out for. This reviewer sees good things on the horizon.

Fallen Angels Reviews
Santa's Elf

Elfina Jeffries has a problem. She has serious case of the hots for her boss, Dayton Kringle, who she is convinced is completely unaware of her as a woman despite all her efforts to attract his attention. However, nothing could be further from the truth. Dayton is through with pretending that "his elf" is not a major turn-on and decides on a course of action to make fantasy become reality. It being the holiday season, Dayton leaves a provocative gift at her desk, a set of submission chains with a description of their uses…from "Santa". This sets the stage for the next 11 days of Christmas. Of course, Elf figures out almost immediately who her secret Santa is, and yet this does not slow the arrival of gifts, nor does it change Dayton's determination to hold off on actual intercourse until Christmas.

Somewhere along the way, lust turns into love for Elf. And despite Dayton's big speech about their sexual relationship not being a"real" relationship, Elf is pretty darn sure he feels the same way, that it's just a matter of him facing up to it. Unfortunately for her plans, Dayton is determined not to allow himself the luxury of these softer feelings. Elf discovers that Dayton's parents died when he was a child during Christmas and that he still carries residual survivor's guilt. The question is: can she give him enough loving acceptance to bring him out of that self-defeatist hole from Christmas past, and make him recognize their relationship as a wonderful gift of Christmas present?

Talk about a scorcher! In Santa's Elf Dayton Kringle has it all going on…a down to earth charm, concern for those less fortunate, a successful business…but most important here of course, a fabulously kinky imagination, and a killer body to back it up! He is tender when it counts, and yet a stern Dom when annoyed, or -unwisely- pushed by Elf. Yet his methods of punishments are more than many could wish for, and mostly convey his desire for her as his sub-at which Elf turns out to be a natural. Despite a few minor plot sink holes, Ms. Rain has created a very powerful, very sensual story. Santa's Elf is the first work of hers that I have read; I will certainly jump at the next chance I get to do so again. Don't forget the ice water, because you're going to need it! Five Angels
