Rick drove around town all day long, thinking of how he could fix this huge mess that he created. He couldn’t come up with a single rational explanation of
why he did the things that he did. Confusion suffocated his mind and clouded his thinking.Although he knew that he had to take responsibility
for his actions, he couldn’t help but be angry with the one person who was responsible for everything falling
apart. He found himself in front of Rene’s house. It was as if a demon took over his body. He didn’t even recognize his own hands as he rang the bell.

“Rick, this is a surprise. What can I do for you?”

“Can we talk”?

Not really knowing what else to say, she invited him in...the tone of his voice and the look in his eyes cautioned her to listen before she spoke a single word. His eyes looked ferocious and callous. While Rick was unstill and troubled, Renee was unspoken and vigilant...As he looked up and faced her, Rene became fully aware that Rick’s brain had snapped. If looks could kill, she’d be dead for sure. She was careful not to say anything to provoke him but to get him out of her house.
