Sword Quest is the first in a series of novels about the world of Aryn, a place where history is a forbidden subject and humans are a nearly extinct, thoroughly disparaged race. In Aryn, many races coexist, though not always peacefully. Thus, when a powerful male of the Pon race, the most numerous and powerful race on Aryn, gathers together six people from different backgrounds, including two Pons, a human, an Eli, one of the woodland creatures, and a Tara and Triton, races bred to be rulers of the kingdoms of Aryn, they are unlikely companions. However, each has something to gain by completing the task Solstran requests of them: to retrieve an ancient and valuable sword made of steel, a metal that has disappeared long ago. However, what Solstran does not reveal to the six is his true intention, that they might restore the forgotten art of magic to Aryn.
