In July of 2006 during a severe thunder storm, a large old shade tree in my backyard was hit by lightening and split down the middle. A huge portion of the branches fell on our metal shed, but fortunately it was not damaged nor were any of the contents. The only destruction was of my beautiful tree and though I hated to have the remainder of it cut down, I knew that, for safety reasons, I had no choice. The only good thing about the situation was because the damage had been caused by the lightening storm, the insurance company said they would pay a portion of the cost to have the tree removed. The only proof they'd need for the claim was a photo of the tree. That was no problem; in it they'd even be able to see the blackened large circle on the tree where the lightening had actually struck it. After talking to the agent, who was also a friend, it was 9:30 p.m. before I finally got outside to take a few pictures. I made sure I took some from all angles, then went into the house and downloaded them onto the computer. When I looked at the first one I'd taken, my whole body suddenly started to tremble, because there, looking directly at me, was a man's face! It was in a kind of fog and the expression on it was almost angry, as if I'd somehow intruded on him.
