Snow lay on the ground almost year round up in the valley, and their main mode of transportation is by toboggan or sleigh. During a severe snowstorm the cabin gets an unexpected visitor from a strange -looking man--whom Eric and his uncle Ted left in from the blizzard. When morning arrives the stranger is no where to found, and he didn't leave a single footprint in the snow. I've always loved holiday stories since I was a youngster myself. There's nothing more enchanting than living in the country during winter. I remember clearly trudging through the deep snow to go sledding at my distant neighbors. The half-mile trip gave me plenty of time to let my imagination run wild--especially at Christmas--with all the colored lights twinkling off in the distance It was easy for me to envision Santa flying over the snow-covered treetops, with his reindeer pulling his sleigh as it shimmered under the moon-lit sky. The incredible views were enough to stir anyone's imagination. So when I got older I remembered those earlier days when the crisp winter-winds would send me on an imaginary journey. During a severe snow storm a stranger knocks on Eric's uncle Tim's cabin. The stranger is asked to spend the night, but when Eric and his uncle awake in the morning the stranger is gone.They look outside on the porch and don't even see the old man's boot prints. After closing the door they go to the kitchen to find a small jar left on the table by the old timer, and it's labeled Toboggan Wax.
