This little devotional is loaded with simple, yet profound insights into God's character and the amazing ways He relates to His beloved children. Even though each day's reading is only a few short paragraphs, Warden's masterful choice of words helps to illuminate many of the deep truths contained in the Bible. Even though I often read through several days worth of these devotionals, many of them are so compelling I have to STOP and take time to chew on what I've just read! Warden is also quite skilled at reflecting back these profound truths of God's word by drawing out their application in my own life. This book is definitely not just for singles! I think every believer will be challenged and encouraged by this book to draw closer to God in both maturity and intimacy.

Great Book--I'd recommend it to anyone! Ranks right up there with My Utmost for His Highest.

Not just another "religious" feel-good devotional! Alone With God deals with real world issues in a way that that both challenges your thinking and refreshes your soul. Like the previous reviewer, I go back to it again...and again. :)

Rarely have I read a book that plumbs the depths of our humanity, while offering to us the truth that we can take Christ all the way into our souls without it seeming trite or like a quick fix that never has a lasting effect. I was refreshed and delighted by Mike's book, Alone with God. I go back to it again.
