This new book is a collaboration between the two and is Clegg's seventh cookbook. The book chapters include: Day of Chemo, Neutropenia, Diarrhea, Constipation, Sore Mouth, Snacks, Caregivers and Post Healthy Eating. Regarding the cookbook, Miletello says, "This is a good, healthy cookbook that can be used by anyone to prepare everyday meals," Now, when my patients ask me a question about what to eat, I can say turn to page 23."

A Tribute To the Book
When they diagnosed me with Larynx Cancer and told me I would lose my voice
And had to have an operation and radiation because there was no other choice
I was fortunate to be able to go to M. D. Anderson Cancer Hospital because it is the best
With confidence and trust in the hospital, I let the doctors and nurses do the rest
The operation was a success although voiceless and looking different, but I am still here.
After that I had to be tough to face radiation because I had heard it was something to fear
The many patients that I saw having radiation treatments were in such a terrible state
Weak and suffering from the lack of nutrition many of them lost a lot of weight
My daughter, Holly Clegg, who is a cookbook author, had an idea that gave me hope
She developed nutritional recipes for me that gave me strength that helped me cope
Holly joined with Dr Gerald Miletello, an Oncologist, with expertise in nutrition too
To produce a needed cancer cookbook because this is what they were qualified to do.
Holly sent these recipes to Houston where the expert chef happened to be my wife
Who was by my side every minute of every day and would do anything to save my life
Although I lost my appetite, taste and smell, the food was nutritional and I ate it all
And after my last radiation treatment, I did not lose any weight and I felt 7 feet tall
"EATING WELL THROUGH CANCER" is a cookbook I want to share with you
While going through Radiation and Chemo, you will be stronger and feel better too
I stayed 3 months with my daughter Ilene and husband Dr.Bart through my radiation
They gave me support and confidence that I was going to be OK and still be a sensation
I have given this cancer cookbook to patients going through treatments and who suffer
They hugged me and thanked me and told me it made them stronger and a lot tougher
Nutritional good tasting food and a positive attitude are the tools we need to fight
Prayers and EATING WELL THROUGH CANCER are the ingredients that help us see the light
